 1,725 Budgeted Positions Opened for Research-Teaching Positions in Algerian Universities

ALGIERS- The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Algeria has released a statement announcing the organization of recruitment contests to fill 1,725 budgeted positions for the rank of research-teaching (maître-assistant) for the year 2024. These positions aim to strengthen the academic staff in Algerian universities.

Prospective candidates aspiring to attain the rank of maître-assistant class “B” are invited to submit their applications exclusively through the digital platform “Progres” at the following link: [https://progres.mesrs.dz/webrecrutement/](https://progres.mesrs.dz/webrecrutement/), as indicated in the official communication.

The recruitment schedule has been outlined, with the process set to commence upon the communication of the recruitment and/or contest opening decision to the central or local authorities in charge of public service by February 11. The application submission period via the digital platform (Progres) is scheduled from February 27 to March 18, followed by interviews with selection committees at university establishments from April 23 to May 14.

Final results of the recruitment contests will be documented between May 15 and 28. Following the completion of all procedures, successful candidates will be officially appointed to their positions on September 7. The Ministry emphasizes the importance of adhering to the stipulated timelines and procedures outlined in the official announcement.
