ALGIERS- The CEO of Sonelgaz, Mourad Ajal, received a delegation from the company Huawei Algeria, led by Eason YI, the CEO of the Chinese company in Algeria, at the headquarters of the general management of Sonelgaz, the group said, on Tuesday, in a press release published on its Facebook page.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed the ways of concluding partnerships between Sonelgaz, the operator in the field of solar energy and digital solutions, as well as the possibility of a participation of the Chinese company in the 2000 program MW launched by the Algerian state-owned firm.
In this vein, the CEO of Sonelgaz referred to the investment opportunities offered by Algeria, encouraging the Chinese side to intensify investments in Algeria, especially in the field of energy.
Pending the drafting of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Sonelgaz and Huawei, the two parties have agreed to organize a technical day between experts from Sonelgaz and Huawei to present the solutions developed by the latter, particularly in the field of renewable energy storage, new inverter technologies, as well as digitization and smart grids.
