ALGIERS- Five Algerian teams (Network, Cloud and computing) won the regional final (French-speaking Africa, made up of 28 countries) of the Huawei ICT Competition for the fourth consecutive time.
After the victory of two teams last year, Algeria is represented, this year, by five teams, which will participate in the global final of the Huawei ICT Competitions, slated for next June in China.
Under the high patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Huawei Algeria organized the fourth edition of the Huawei ICT Competition “2022-2023 season”.
During this edition, 1700 students from 25 universities and institutes in the higher education and scientific research sector as well as the post and telecommunications took part.
It should be remembered that this competition was launched in September. Teams from Huawei Algeria had crisscrossed more than 30 universities nationwide. The competition has already generated a strong enthusiasm for student registrations.
Moreover, more than 3,000 students registered for this competition, of which more than 1,000 passed the preliminary exam and 130 others were selected for the national final.
Huawei ICT Competition is fully in line with Huawei’s perspective, which promotes local skills in ICT and prospecting for talent in Algeria.
Huawei Algeria pays particular attention to the transfer of knowledge and skills in the field of ICT in favor of Algerian students and talents.
Noting that Huawei has signed a partnership agreement with the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research as well as universities and establishments in the Higher Education sector.
