ALGIERS- President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of the Republic of Algeria welcomed President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi of the Republic of Mozambique with an official reception held at the presidential palace on Thursday.

President Nyusi’s visit to Algeria commenced on Wednesday, following an invitation extended by President Tebboune. The visit aims to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

As part of his itinerary, President Nyusi paid homage at the Martyrs’ Sanctuary in Algiers on Thursday. The solemn act of remembrance honored the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the National Liberation War, underscoring the shared history and solidarity between Algeria and Mozambique.

The visit holds particular importance as Algeria and Mozambique seek to deepen collaboration in areas such as energy, trade, and security. Both nations share a common vision for regional stability and development, and the visit serves as an opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to mutual progress and prosperity.
