7th GECF Summit in Algiers: Russian Energy Minister Affirms Robust Partnership with Algeria

ALGIERS- Russian Energy Minister, Nikolai Shulginov, emphasized the robust nature of his country’s relations with Algeria, highlighting the significant role of energy cooperation in strengthening bilateral ties.

Speaking to public television upon his arrival in Algeria to participate in the Gas Exporting Countries Forum meeting, Minister Shulginov underscored Russia’s earnest efforts towards enriching Algeria’s declaration, underscoring the anticipated declaration’s importance in tomorrow’s leaders’ summit. He stressed the necessity of coordinating efforts regarding gas infrastructure and protective measures.

Shulginov also addressed the forthcoming discussions at the Gas Exporting Countries Forum meeting regarding the forum’s policy development and the potential inclusion of new member states in its energy body.

The minister’s remarks reflect the depth of cooperation between Russia and Algeria, particularly in the energy sector, underpinning the mutual commitment to advancing shared interests and fostering bilateral relations.

As discussions continue at the forum, the engagement between Russia and Algeria in the realm of energy cooperation remains pivotal, echoing a longstanding partnership characterized by mutual respect and shared objectives.
