7th GECF Summit in Algiers- Russian Energy Minister: “The Algiers Declaration Will Be Vital for Gas Infrastructure”

ALGIERS- Nikolai Shulginov, the Russian Minister of Energy, has emphasized the significance of the Algiers Declaration, stating that it will play a crucial role “in coordinating gas infrastructure and ways to safeguard it from incidents, developing GECF policy, and the potential accession of new countries to this energy organization.”
He further noted that Russia has contributed to enriching the document, which will be submitted for approval by the heads of state and government of GECF member countries this Saturday.
Speaking to the press upon his arrival at Houari Boumediene International Airport, the Russian minister highlighted that “the relations between Algeria and Russia are strong, and our cooperation in the energy sector contributes to their strengthening.”
