7th GECF Summit in Algiers: Sonatrach, Venezuelan Company PDVSA Sign Two Memoranda of Understanding

ALGIERS- On the sidelines of the 7th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), Sonatrach and the Venezuelan oil company, PDVSA, signed two memoranda of understanding on Friday.
The ceremony, overseen by the Minister of Energy and Mines, Mr. Mohamed Arkab, marked the signing of these two memorandums aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two companies in the energy sector and exploring avenues for its strengthening and development, particularly in research, exploration, and production of fuels, petrochemicals, and maintenance in the oil and gas industry.
The first memorandum focuses on bolstering cooperation in energy-related activities, including research, exploration, and production of fuels, as well as petrochemicals and maintenance within the oil and gas industry.
The second memorandum emphasizes collaboration in the field of hydrocarbon training, aiming to facilitate knowledge exchange and skill development between Sonatrach and PDVSA.
These agreements underscore the commitment of both companies to fostering closer ties and leveraging each other’s expertise to drive innovation and sustainable development in the energy sector.
