7th International Textile, Apparel, and Leather Expo Opens in Algiers

Algiers, Algeria | June 10th, 2024 — The 7th International Textile, Apparel, Leather, and Equipment Expo, known as “TexStyle Expo,” officially opened today at the Palace of Expositions in Pins Maritimes, Algiers. This year’s event is notable for its extensive international participation, with over 170 exhibitors showcasing their products and technologies.

Exhibitor Participation

Running from June 10 to 12, the expo has attracted exhibitors from eight countries:

– Tunisia
– Egypt
– Italy
– Turkey
– China
– India
– Bangladesh
– Algeria

According to Mohamed Amine Bekkouche, Director of the organizing company, China leads with 60 companies, followed by Turkey with 40. These countries play a pivotal role in the textile sector, contributing significantly to trade exchanges with Algeria in raw materials and manufacturing technologies.

Algerian Representation

The expo also features 60 Algerian exhibitors, including six innovative start-ups, highlighting the local industry’s advancement and creativity. This representation underscores the sector’s growth and potential within Algeria.
