“94 people repatriated from Sudan, including Syrians, Palestinians,” says Algerian ambassador to Sudan

ALGIERS- The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, ordered the repatriation of the our community members wishing to come back home, as well as the nationals of the sisterly and friendly countries expressing the same desire, following the deterioration of the security situation in Sudan, the presidency of the Republic said, Tuesday, in a statement.

In this vein, “the repatriation operation involves 13 Palestinian and 22 Syrian nationals”.

Members of our community in Sudan and their families as well as members of our embassy in Khartoum arrived, yesterday evening, in the country from Port-Sudan airport on board a military plane belonging to the People’s National Army ( ANP), specified the press release.

“Members of our community welcomed the role of the President of the Republic and his concern to secure their rapid return”, concluded the same source.

 

 

Upon his arrival in Algiers, Algerian Ambassador to Sudan Mourad Issaad said that a total of 94 people had been evacuated from Sudan, among them Syrians and Palestinians who had requested Algeria’s help, on instructions from the President of the Republic.
