The Palestinian Ambassador to Algeria, Fayez Abu Aita, affirmed that the Palestinian Authority is convinced that Algeria is capable, with its experience, its responsibility and its acumen, as well as its great role, its position, and its influence on everyone, in the success of the initiative launched by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune “in order to unite the factions and turn the black page of division, here in Algeria.”
Abu Aita estimated, during an interview granted to the electronic channel “Dzair Tube” at the headquarters of the Palestinian Embassy, that President Tebboune’s initiative to achieve Palestinian reconciliation between the various Palestinian factions, “is generous and concerned about the Palestinian cause”, noting that President Tebboune opened this question with him when he presented his credentials as ambassador to Algeria, where he explicitly said that Algeria has experience in the unification of the Palestinian factions, and that this experience should benefit the Palestinian people.
The Palestinian official stressed that the Palestinian Authority will mobilize all its capacities and energies for the success of President Tebboune’s initiative, because this “success is for Palestine and the achievement of Palestinian reconciliation is a dream for the Palestinian people, emphasizing that “we have no choice but to face the Israeli occupation (…) because unity is the law of victory, and we will not defeat our enemy without uniting our ranks.”
The Palestinian diplomat stressed that his representation of Algeria is of great importance, which is an important issue, given the position of Algeria, which was open to the Palestinian revolution, and which is also considered by Palestinian leaders as an arena to support the cause of the Palestinian people and stand with them, as well as its historical role in its adherence, in addition to the large size of the Palestinian community in Algeria, and its role in the Palestinian resistance and struggle .
Abu Aita also spoke of the similarities that unite Algeria and Palestine in the struggle and resistance to colonialism and occupation, and the heavy price paid by the Algerian and Palestinian people for this, in terms of martyrs, wounded , prisoners and disappeared, which makes the Palestinians consider the Algerian revolution as a source of inspiration and pride for them, emphasizing that all this makes him feel the great responsibility entrusted to him in order to represent the Palestinian State in as ambassador and diplomat in Algeria.
