Ooredoo Algeria mobilizes its employees and organizes a blood donation operation at its three headquarters

Ooredoo organized, in partnership with the National Blood Agency, a blood donation operation for its employees at the three Ooredoo headquarters located in Algiers, Oran and Constantine.

The humanitarian initiative, which took place this Wednesday, March 02, 2022 at the central headquarters of Ooredoo located in Algiers as well as at the regional headquarters of Oran and Constantine, experienced a strong mobilization of employees who responded favorably to this call.

In a statement, Ooredoo said that “this humanitarian work by Ooredoo employees is a noble gesture that reflects the organization’s core values, particularly with regard to its commitment to socially responsible operations.”

This solidarity operation for Ooredoo aims to collect as many blood bags as possible and help alleviate the shortage of this vital substance, especially during the Corona pandemic.

On this occasion, the Director General of Ooredoo, Bassam Yousef Al Ibrahim declared: “Ooredoo is very proud to organize this citizen operation aimed at helping, in any way, the sick, especially during this period of the health crisis of the COVID-19. This initiative by Ooredoo demonstrates once again its commitment to raising public awareness of the importance of donating blood to save human lives. This gesture of solidarity reflects the values of the company as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility policy. I take this opportunity to reiterate Ooredoo’s desire to renew this kind of humanitarian action as much as possible and to remain faithful to its status as excellent corporate citizen. »

On the sidelines of this operation, Ooredoo received a certificate of thanks and merit from the National Blood Agency in recognition of all of its staff for their solidarity and generosity in saving lives.

It should be noted that this initiative took place in compliance with the health protocol linked to COVID-19.

It should be recalled that Ooredoo had already organised, as part of its social responsibility policy, a multitude of blood collection operations reaffirming its commitment alongside Algerian society through this type of civic action.
