ALGIERS- In a significant stride toward leveraging technology for humanitarian efforts, the Algerian Red Crescent has unveiled five digital platforms, accompanied by a dedicated mobile application. President Ibtissem Hamlaoui made the announcement, emphasizing the primary goal of preserving citizens’ dignity through these innovative initiatives.

President Hamlaoui elaborated on the objectives behind launching these digital platforms, underscoring their focus on prioritizing the well-being of citizens. The newly introduced platforms aim to streamline various aspects of the Algerian Red Crescent’s operations, ensuring efficient communication, training, and support services.

One of the key platforms enables volunteers to register for first aid training nationwide. This initiative reflects the organization’s commitment to empowering individuals with life-saving skills, contributing to enhanced emergency response capabilities across the country.

Additionally, a platform exclusively designed for trained medical responders allows seamless communication and coordination in the event of disasters, whether they occur within Algeria or abroad. This ensures a swift and organized response from registered volunteers when needed the most.

The Algerian Red Crescent has also introduced a digital platform dedicated to first aid. This platform serves as a resource hub for individuals seeking information and guidance on administering initial medical assistance. It plays a pivotal role in promoting community resilience and preparedness.

Addressing the needs of vulnerable populations, President Hamlaoui highlighted the launch of a digital platform specifically tailored for those in need. The introduction of the “Beneficiary Card” aims to facilitate better coordination among local communities and provide insights into the assistance received by deserving families across Algeria.

Moreover, recognizing the importance of supporting orphans, President Hamlaoui emphasized the creation of a digital platform dedicated to orphans. The organization is committed to providing comprehensive care for various categories of orphans, starting with those who lost both parents, followed by paternal orphans and maternal orphans, based on available resources.

In an additional update, efforts are underway to localize the Algerian Red Crescent’s website, enhancing accessibility and usability for a broader audience.

President Hamlaoui expressed her dedication to these initiatives, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to adapting and expanding its services to better serve the Algerian community. These digital platforms mark a significant step forward in aligning technology with humanitarian objectives, ensuring a more responsive and inclusive approach to aid and support services.
