ALGIERS- The Algerian national Yoseikan Budo Pétanque team achieved a remarkable triumph, securing the top position in the Maghreb Championship held in Tunisia from December 20 to 23.
The national team asserted its regional dominance, outperforming both the Tunisian and Libyan teams, who secured the second and third positions, respectively.
Algeria’s representatives clinched an impressive total of 32 medals in this Maghreb Championship, including nine gold, seven silver, and 16 bronze medals.
The Algerian Yoseikan Budo Pétanque federation views this participation as an excellent opportunity to assess the readiness of the national team for the upcoming World Championship scheduled to take place in Algeria at the end of 2024. The success in the Maghreb Championship underscores the team’s potential and preparedness for future international competitions.
