The General Confederation of Algerian Enterprises concluded, Monday in Algiers, a partnership and cooperation agreement with the Professional Organization of Tunisian Entrepreneurs.
Saida Neghza, President of the Confederation, has signed the agreement on the Algerian side and Reda Chaara, President of Open Tunisia, on the Tunisian side, whose ceremony took place at the Sofital hotel, in the presence of several members of the government, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia to Algeria, representatives of ministries, the Economic, Social and Environmental Council, the Court of Auditors, banks, various authorities, customs and businessmen from both countries.
During her speech, Neghza has explained that this important meeting between “Tunisian employers affiliated to Open Tunisia and their Algerian counterparts represented within the General Confederation of Algerian Enterprises represents a good precedent aimed at exploring the opportunities for cooperation between the two parties and to increase the volume of trade, which remains weak and does not reflect the close and solid relations between the two countries.”
The businesswoman has pointed out that this initiative comes “and we are certain of the economic integration between the two countries and the availability of many areas in agriculture, various industries, tourism, health, energy, modern technologies and services”.
The speaker has added, telling the audience: “Brothers and sisters, this is not normal. It is unacceptable that the trading volume remains at such a low level, despite all the good intentions recorded. We want to work to turn these intentions into a reality in the service of our two countries and peoples”.
Saida Neghza has also stressed the need to “seize the opportunity offered by the African Continental Free Trade Area for these exchanges to be bigger and better, by uniting efforts between entrepreneurs from the two countries to enter the African market together. with a large number of winning cards.”
The President of the Confederation has called on all businessmen and companies, whether public or private, to intensify cooperation with a view to achieving economic integration between the two countries, leading to the stability of the region and the establishment of an economic revival under the wise leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his brother Kais Saied.
