ALGIERS– Following the President’s announcement on December 25, 2023, of a groundbreaking 50% reduction in airfare prices, Air Algérie has officially released the promotional prices for flights during the holy month of Ramadan in 2024. This initiative aims to facilitate the return of Algerians living abroad, enabling them to spend the sacred month with their families.
The special prices, disclosed in an online publication on the official website, cover round-trip flights from March 10 to April 13, 2024, with reservations open until April 13. From various cities in France and Spain to multiple destinations in Algeria, ticket prices start as low as 151 euros and 153 euros, including all taxes. Travelers departing from Italy to the Houari-Boumediene International Airport can book their journey from 179 euros (all taxes included), while flights from Lisbon start at 177 euros (all taxes included).
Air Algérie also offers discounted rates for departures from London, Frankfurt, and Brussels to Algiers, with prices starting at 213 GBP (all taxes included), 232 euros (all taxes included), and 218 euros (all taxes included), respectively. Geneva is also part of this promotion, with tickets from Geneva International Airport to the capital starting at 197 CHF (all taxes included).
Even members of the Algerian community residing in Russia are not left out, with round-trip tickets starting at 298 euros (all taxes included). The promotional offers extend to long-haul flights, benefiting Algerians in various Arab countries, including Tunisia, Egypt, Qatar, Lebanon, Jordan, and the UAE.
For instance, ticket prices for Tunis start at 484 TDN (all taxes included), while flights from Cairo begin at 7582 EGP (all taxes included). From Hamed International Airport in Doha, the fare is set at 1275 QAT (all taxes included), and from Beirut, it is 396 USD (all taxes included).
The promotional ticket for the Amman-Algiers route is available starting at 271 JOD (all taxes included), while the Dubai-Algiers route starts at 1650 AED (all taxes included). For a round-trip from Istanbul to Algiers between March 10 and April 13, 2024, prices begin at 291 USD (all taxes included). Lastly, for those traveling from Montreal to Algiers, the minimum cost is 721 CAD (all taxes included). It’s important to note that these offers are subject to seat availability.
Since the launch of this promotion and the opening of reservations, a surge in demand has led to intermittent website crashes, indicating the overwhelming response from eager travelers taking advantage of these discounted fares.
