Assia Djebar Prize for Novel: announcement of the short list for its 6th edition

The jury of Asia Djebar Novel Prize announced today, Thursday, from the ANEP headquarters, the short list of novels nominated for its sixth edition of its Grand Prix, according to a press release from the Agency.

On May 19, the awards committee announced the long list, which included 29 titles out of a total of 158 titles.

The ANEP press release specified that “after several working sessions held by the jury of the prize, the thirteen (13) titles were selected; five novels in Arabic, three novels in Berber language and five novels in French, emphasizing its concern to “respect the criteria for selecting works”; namely the originality of the style, the density of the content and the quality of edition.

The jury composed of 8 members underlined that “The three winners of this prestigious literary distinction will be announced on June 30, 2022, during a ceremony to be held at the International Conference Center (CIC) Abdelatif-Rahal.”
