General Secretary of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheït affirmed Tuesday in Algiers, that “the Arab summit scheduled for Algiers on November 1 and 2, 2022 will be a success”, adding that there was great convergence on most of the questions raised on the Arab scene.
At the end of his visit to the International Conference Center (CIC) and the Sheraton Hotel, Aboul Gheït underlined that the preparations for the summit were taking place under good conditions in accordance with the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, “which confirms that this summit will be a success”, noting “the great convergence recorded around most of the issues raised on the Arab scene”.
He announced the forthcoming holding of ministerial meetings and other consultation meetings on all the issues to be raised at the summit, including a consultation meeting in Beirut scheduled for July 2.
As for his meeting with President Tebboune, Aboul Gheït specified that this meeting was “very positive marked by a very rich and extremely beneficial debate”.
SG of the Arab League expressed his wish to “see the efforts of Algeria, government and people, crowned with success in the execution of this mission that the Algerian State will carry out successfully, he who has already hosted summits similar”.
The SG of the Arab League visited, together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, several structures and services that will house the work of the summit.
