ALGIERS- GAM Assurances and YALIDINE Group signed two partnership agreements on Thursday, March 7, 2024. The first agreement entails the insurance coverage of all subsidiaries and personnel of Yalidine Group, while the second agreement involves service provision for mail and parcel distribution, as well as other logistical services, benefiting GAM Assurances and its network of general agents.
According to a joint press release from the companies, “the signing ceremony was presided over by Mr. Ahmed Hadj Mahammed, Vice President of GAM Assurances, and Mr. Toumiat Djamel Eddine, Commercial Director of YALIDINE Group.” The first agreement between YALIDINE Group and GAM Assurances aims to “insure all its subsidiaries and personnel,” as agreed upon.
The second agreement, the press release specifies, aims to provide “service for mail and parcel distribution, as well as other logistical services, provided by Sarl E-Logistique, trading as SPEEDMAIL, for the benefit of GAM Assurances and its network of general agents.”
Yalidine El Djazair Service Group is the leading express courier operator in Algeria. It specializes in mail distribution (checks, contracts, specifications), parcel delivery in e-commerce, freight transport, as well as product storage and packaging (for e-commerce). According to ARCE figures, Yalidine Group holds a 70% market share.
Furthermore, Yalidine Group has “eight subsidiaries engaged in various activities, in addition to mail and parcel transport, with 4,300 employees, 500 transport vehicles, 300 motorcycles, 4 hubs, and 6 sorting centers serving the 160 YALIDINE Group agencies nationwide, with daily delivery of over 30,000 parcels.”
Among its subsidiaries, Speed Mail specializes in parcel delivery for businesses (invoices, contracts, checks, specifications), freight and groupage, courier services, and freight transport. Additionally, it is worth noting that Yalidine Group obtained triple certification: ISO 9001-2015, ISO 14001-2015, ISO 45001-2018 in 2023.
As for GAM Assurances, it is an Algerian insurance company specializing in non-life insurance operations in the Algerian market since 2001. It has nearly 200 agencies across the national territory. In 2021, GAM was the first insurance company to launch Islamic insurance “Takaful” service, under the auspices of a Shariah council.
