Public prosecutor at the Court of Sidi M’hamed (Algiers) requested, on Thursday, a sentence of six (6) years in prison against the former Minister of Housing, Abdelwahid Temmar, prosecuted in a case of corruption when he was wali of Mostaganem.
Public prosecutor also requested a fine of one (1) million dinars with confiscation of all seized property.
Abdelwahid Temmar is being prosecuted in this case for abuse of office, falsification of official documents and false declaration of assets.
This former wali of Mostaganem is being prosecuted for the issuance of authorizations for the creation of holiday camps on forest land in violation of the law and the non-declaration of bank accounts in 2019.
Legal representative of the wilaya of Mostaganem claims compensation of one (1) million dinars and the legal agent of the Treasury compensation of ten (10) million dinars for the damage caused by the decisions of Abdelwahid Temmar.
