The Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea to Algeria, Alhassane Barry, said on Monday that he had requested the support of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for a “successful and peaceful” transition in this country.
“I asked the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to lend his support to a successful and peaceful transition in the Republic of Guinea”, declared the ambassador at the end of the audience that he granted by the President of the Republic.
Describing Algerian diplomacy as “effective and very influential”, the Guinean ambassador explained that he had requested the support of President Tebboune as the architect of this diplomacy.
The Guinean ambassador who paid President Tebboune a farewell visit at the end of his mission in Algeria, indicated that his meeting with the Head of State was an opportunity to “take stock of relations between friendship and cooperation” uniting the two countries, stressing that particular emphasis was placed on “bilateral cooperation and the promotion of economic diplomacy”.
The audience also made it possible to examine “the partnerships between the Guinean oil company and the Algerian company Sonatrach and between the private sector of the two countries”, he underlined, adding that President Tebboune, ” provided guidance so that efforts to revitalize this relationship of friendship and cooperation be strengthened”.
The meeting also made it possible to discuss cooperation in the education sector, in particular “the scholarships offered by the Algerian State to Guinean students”, he mentioned.
Finally, the Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea made a point of thanking the Algerian authorities for the “help and assistance” from which he benefited in the accomplishment of his mission in Algeria.
