Saidal Announces Imminent Launch of Vaccine Production in Algeria

ALGIERS- Wassim Kouidri, the CEO of Saidal Group, announced on Tuesday the imminent launch of vaccine production in Algeria.

Kouidri explained that an agreement has been signed between Saidal, a public pharmaceutical group, and the Algerian Pasteur Institute for the local production of certain vaccines that have been imported by Algeria.

During the visit of the Minister of Health to the Pasteur Institute, Kouidri stated that the flu vaccine will be the first vaccine to be launched in production. “We will start with the flu vaccine, which will be on the market next July,” he affirmed.

Kouidri also confirmed the launch of another partnership with Sanofi laboratories and the Pasteur Institute for the production of another vaccine for children.

He emphasized that the vaccine consists of 6 vaccines in one and that it takes time to manufacture, adding that the production process will start after the production of the flu vaccine.

Kouidri also assured that the production of other vaccines will be launched in the near future.
