President Tebboune Directs Preparation of Specifications for Smartphone Industry

ALGIERS- President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who chaired a Cabinet meeting dedicated to various issues on Sunday, has taken several measures to accelerate the revival of the smartphone industry in Algeria.

According to the Cabinet’s statement, the President firstly ordered the preparation of specifications for the launch of projects for the assembly and manufacture of mobile phones in Algeria.

Additionally, the President instructed authorities to encourage investments in the smartphone sector by involving young specialized talents to further develop their skills and expertise. This will be achieved through establishing partnerships with existing operators in the domestic market and with foreign partners.
