ALGIERS- President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, presiding over the Council of Ministers on Sunday, approved the revision of retirement pensions across all categories, according to an official statement released by the Council of Ministers.
The purpose of this revision, as stated in the council’s statement, is to acknowledge the contribution of retirees to the nation’s service and to safeguard their social protection.
Addressing the startup sector, the President affirmed the government’s commitment to supporting startups and engaging the private sector in this endeavor, offering incentives in return.
Furthermore, the President directed the enhancement of the special status of medical and paramedical personnel, recognizing their crucial role in maintaining health security.
Additionally, the President instructed a review of the draft law on civil status due to its significance, emphasizing the need for a modern and permanent database managed by elected representatives as representatives of society. He called for the involvement of judges and governors in enriching this draft law.
President Tebboune also praised the progress achieved in interconnecting various ministerial sectors in terms of digitization and reiterated that the focus of the next stage is to excel in quality and contribute actively to the nation’s economic development.
