The 46th conference of the European Coordination for Support and Solidarity with the Sahrawi People (Eucoco), scheduled for Berlin on December 2 and 3, will be an opportunity to denounce once again the sinister “autonomy” plan proposed by Morocco which constitutes in fact a plan of annexation, indicated Wednesday evening in Algiers, the president of the movement, Pierre Galand.
“During the next Eucoco, we are going to draw the UN’s attention to the fact that the Saharawi people have resumed the armed struggle because they have been mistreated”, declared Mr. Galand during a briefing. press at the end of the preparatory work for this meeting, emphasizing that “Eucoco supports the Sahrawi armed struggle, because it is a way like any other of wresting independence”.
Pierre Galand also indicated that the sinister autonomy plan proposed by Morocco will be denounced on this occasion. “Participants will work to show that this plan is really just an annexation plan,” he said.
In Berlin, it will also be a question of “calling on the UN to assume its responsibilities and remind it that so far it has failed and that it is time to hear the decision of the African and European Courts of Justice, namely that the Sahrawi people are distinct from the Moroccan people,” added the Belgian activist.
Finally, “we are going to recall that our support for the Saharawi people is a contribution to the consolidation of peace in the world”, he concluded.
Speaking on this occasion, the President of the Algerian National Committee for Solidarity with the Saharawi People (CNASPS), Saïd Ayachi indicated that Algeria, “which has always been a land of welcome for peoples who are fighting for their freedom and their independence, will always remain at the side of the Sahrawi people until the final victory”.
