Arkab discusses with his Lebanese counterpart the opportunities for bilateral cooperation

The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab received, on Wednesday in Algiers, the Lebanese Minister of Energy and Hydraulic Resources, Walid Fayad, with whom he reviewed the opportunities for cooperation in the fields of energy and mines, says a press release from the ministry.

During this meeting which took place at the headquarters of the ministry, in the presence of the Lebanese ambassador to Algeria and the Algerian ambassador to Lebanon, “the two parties discussed the state of cooperation relations between the two countries brothers as well as the opportunities for cooperation in the fields of energy and mining, in particular the exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons, the electricity production and the management of the electricity system in addition to the field of marketing of gas and petroleum products “, specifies the press release.

The opportunities for cooperation and investment in the field of mining as well as the training of Lebanese executives in Algeria and the exchange of expertise and experience according to the needs expressed are all subjects addressed by the two parties.

It was agreed at the end of the hearing to organize meetings between the companies Sonatrach and Sonelgaz with their Lebanese counterparts, adds the same source.
