Parliamentary conference on climate change: the Algerian delegation receives its Egyptian counterpart

The Algerian delegation taking part in the work of the parliamentary conference on climate change, which is being held in Luxor (Egypt), received its Egyptian counterpart on Saturday, with whom it reviewed the conclusions of the Arab summit hosted by the Algeria on November 1 and 2, said a statement from the National People’s Assembly (APN).

The Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Egyptian National Assembly, Karim Derouiche, hailed the efforts made by Algeria in organizing the summit, and “President Tebboune’s commitment to meeting all the conditions and to smooth out the difficulties in order to ensure its success”, underlining “the constant availability of Egypt to coordinate with Algeria, in particular through parliamentary diplomacy to defend the common interests of the two countries”, specifies the press release.

For his part, the vice-president of the APN, Moundir Bouden, welcomed “the Egyptian contribution to the success of the work of the Arab summit, and the commitment of President Abdelfatah El-Sissi to participate in person in the work of the summit”, also noting the need to relaunch “the two Algeria-Egypt friendship groups, to diversify bilateral cooperation and to exchange information in the field of the economy and the search for investment prospects”.
