Algiers- Algeria, May 14, 2024 – Algeria commemorates Student Day on May 19th, a date deeply rooted in the country’s history as a pivotal moment in the national liberation struggle. This year’s celebration marks not only a tribute to past sacrifices but also a recognition of the crucial role that students continue to play in shaping the future of the nation. Student Day is being commemorated by a series of activities at the Sidi Abdallah University Campus in Algiers. The event brings together student organizations and government officials to highlight the progress of Algerian universities and the pivotal role of students in national development.

The event, scheduled from May 17th to May 19th, features various activities:
– Student Sessions: Discussions on the role of students in shaping the future of Algeria.
– Presentation of Outstanding Student Models: Recognizing exemplary students and their achievements.
– Brainstorming Groups: Engaging students in discussions on national issues.
– Educational and Touristic Outings: Visits to cultural and historical landmarks.
– Recognition of Excellence: Honoring students for their innovation, startups, scientific research, sports, culture, and entertainment activities.

Among them are outstanding students, those with innovative projects, scholarship recipients studying abroad, members of the Supreme Council of Youth Students, and students involved in clubs and organizations. Additionally, African and Palestinian students studying in Algeria are participating in the event.
