Algeria: President Tebboune Honors Nine Leading Exporters

Algiers, Algeria | July 26th, 2024 — On Thursday, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune presided over the ceremony for the “President of the Republic’s Best Exporter Prize” for the year 2023 in Algiers. This award serves to acknowledge the outstanding achievements and contributions of nine Algerian companies in advancing Algeria’s export sector beyond hydrocarbons.

The ceremony was held at the Abdelatif-Rahal International Conference Center and was attended by a host of senior state officials, government members, representatives from professional associations, and leaders from both public and private enterprises.

The honored recipients included:

• Tosyali Algeria, recognized in the category of industrial product exporters for its significant role in the metallurgy sector.
• Intradis Algeria, celebrated for its achievements as an exporter of agricultural products.
• Clinica Group, awarded in the services exporter category for its exemplary services in various fields.
• Algerian Qatari Steel (AQS), distinguished for its notable achievements in exporting to the African continent.

In addition, President Tebboune conferred the Young Exporter Award to Noureddine Messali, Director of Alteo Energie, which specializes in administrative services and corporate marketing. The Best Woman Exporter Award was presented to Fatima Menaa, owner of Tolga El Baraka, renowned for its packaging products primarily catering to the agro-food industry.

Honorary certificates were also awarded to:

• Hikma Pharma Algeria,
• Al Ourdjouana Dattes,
• Huileries Ouzellaguen,

These recognitions highlight their significant contributions to Algeria’s export sector.

The “President of the Republic’s Best Exporter Prize” includes a commemorative shield and a certificate of merit, celebrating top exporters across various categories including industrial and pharmaceutical products, agricultural products, services, African exports, young exporters, and women exporters, as per the presidential decree establishing the award.
