Algerian FM Attaf Attends 162nd Arab League Council Session in Cairo

Algiers, Algeria | September 10th, 2024 — Charged by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf arrived in Cairo on Monday to attend the 162nd session of the Arab League Council at the level of foreign ministers, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Council session, slated for Tuesday, is set to tackle a range of critical issues affecting the Arab world. Among the foremost topics on the agenda are the troubling developments concerning the Palestinian cause and the broader regional instability exacerbated by escalating Zionist atrocities. The session will also address various crises undermining security and stability across multiple Arab nations.

Minister Attaf’s involvement in the session is expected to be marked by significant bilateral engagements with several of his Arab counterparts.
