New Scandal Erupts as Moroccan Delegation Visits Zionist Entity Amid Ongoing Atrocities

Algiers, Algeria | November 05th, 2024 — A Moroccan press delegation arrived in the Zionist entity on Monday for an official visit organized by the entity’s liaison office in Rabat. The visit, which is set to last several days, has ignited widespread controversy and drawn sharp criticism from Palestinian and Arab communities due to its timing amid the ongoing atrocities in Gaza and the West Bank.

According to Moroccan media sources, the delegation flew directly from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris to Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv aboard an El Al flight. The Moroccan journalists, described by sources as close to the “Makhzen” (the ruling establishment), are expected to participate in various organized tours, including visits to the Kerem Shalom crossing and the Re’im base, a location that recently witnessed a concert on October 7, the same day Palestinian resistance group Hamas launched a large-scale operation against Zionist military positions near Gaza as part of “Al-Aqsa Flood Operation.”

The Moroccan delegation received a warm welcome upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport before proceeding to occupied El Quds. As part of the itinerary, a formal dinner was hosted in their honor by Gilead Shadman, the Director-General of the Zionist Ministry of Regional Cooperation. The cordial reception, set against the backdrop of escalating violence in Gaza and the West Bank, has heightened the backlash, with Palestinians and Arabs expressing anger over the deepening and troubling level of normalization between Morocco and the Zionist entity.

Observers have noted Morocco’s recent efforts to foster closer relations with Zionist lobby groups in the United States and Europe. Analysts suggest that Morocco is seeking increased international support for its claim over Western Sahara where Rabat’s occupation has faced significant opposition and ongoing calls for self-determination.
