Algiers, Algeria | December 28th, 2024 — In a decisive move to bolster Algeria’s diplomatic apparatus, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has undertaken a reshuffle within the nation’s diplomatic and consular ranks. Announced on Saturday, December 28, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs disclosed that this partial overhaul impacts 28 ambassadors, six consuls general, and five consuls, marking a new step in optimizing the country’s foreign policy machinery.

According to the ministry’s statement, the decision aligns with the provisions of Article 92 of the Constitution, granting the President authority to reconfigure the nation’s diplomatic landscape.
