CAF President Patrice Motsepe Congratulates Walid Sadi on Re-Election as FAF President

Motsepe and FIFA’s Gianni Infantino Commend Sadi’s Leadership and Vision for Algerian and African Football

Algiers, Algeria | February 27th, 2025 — The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, has extended his congratulations to Walid Sadi, who was re-elected on Tuesday for a new Olympic-term mandate (2025-2029) as President of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF).

 

In an official letter, Motsepe underscored that Sadi’s re-election stands as a testament to the unwavering confidence that the members of the General Assembly have placed in his leadership. The CAF chief further emphasized Sadi’s crucial role in the advancement of both Algerian and continental football, reinforcing the importance of his continued tenure at the helm of the FAF.

Motsepe expressed his full support for the newly elected members of the FAF Federal Bureau, congratulating them and voicing his optimism for the future of football in Algeria and across Africa.
