Project to manufacture 1st Made in Algeria electric car launched – Video

ALGIERS- The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamel Baddari gave, on Monday in Algiers, the kick-off of the project to manufacture the first Made in Algeria electric car by experts from the Center for Research in Industrial Technologies ( CRIT).

During a working and inspection visit to the center in Cheraga, Mr. Baddari indicated that “the first prototype of the Made in Algeria electric car is practically ready”, stressing that “the design operation of the structure, the battery and the motor was finalized by young Algerian skills”.

In this regard, he added that the launch date of the finalized prototype of this car will be fixed “as soon as possible”, highlighting the role of the CRIT which consists in “proposing a finished prototype to production companies and support the manufacturing operation of the first 100% Algerian electric car”.

Mr. Baddari welcomed the results of the scientific research carried out by the center, whose main vocation is innovation, saying that these results “are in tune with the current research and development”, aimed at meeting the national needs”.
