While no information mentions any link whatsoever between Moroccan and foreign sports teams, the cooperation announced by the Makhzen regime in this area remains limited to the Zionist entity, defying Moroccan public opinion, which rejects any form normalization.
The Royal Moroccan Basketball Federation and the Israeli Basketball Association reached a historic cooperation agreement on Thursday covering all areas, professional, educational, sports health, social and sports.
The two parties have agreed to meet in March to celebrate this event which will link the two countries with a friendly match between the national teams as a crowning achievement, said a press release from the Royal Moroccan Basketball Federation.
As an extension of the normalization process, Morocco had signed in early December a cooperation agreement in the sports field with the Zionist entity, particularly in football, and this, in the greatest secrecy, at the request of the Makhzen regime.
These successive agreements come in a context marked by the boiling of Moroccan public opinion which is against normalization, and in the light of warnings against the repercussions of normalization on the sovereignty of the kingdom and its identity.
Indeed, the dangers of normalization have been denounced by several circles in Morocco who have warned against the fact that “the Zionist entity takes and does not give and that all the agreements signed with the Moroccan government are in its favor” .
During the first anniversary of the normalization agreements between Morocco and the Zionist entity celebrated last December, the Kingdom witnessed an internal revolution against the Makhzen regime and against normalization and its disastrous repercussions.
