ALGIERS- In the course of his official visit to the Béchar province on Monday, the Minister of Housing, Mr. Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, provided comprehensive insights into the upcoming launch of the AADL 3 housing program.
Mr. Belaribi assured that preparations for the initiation of this program are well underway, in accordance with the directives of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. He stated, “Following the President’s instructions for the launch of this program, we have established a working group, and concurrently, we are updating the executive decrees.”
Highlighting the impact of rising construction material costs, the minister emphasized that the pricing structure of this housing formula will be revised. “The materials used in construction have experienced an increase, a factor that we will take into consideration,” he stated. He further outlined that the subscription process will be entirely digital, leveraging the National Identification Number (NIM) and the subscribers’ insurance number.
Revealing the anticipated timeline for subscription commencement, Mr. Belaribi confirmed that subscription operations and housing construction activities are scheduled to take place during the first half of 2024. “The working group within the ministry is also assessing the availability of land plots necessary for the program launch,” he added.
Responding to inquiries about the criteria for AADL 3, Minister Belaribi announced that the same eligibility conditions applied in the first two AADL programs will be retained. These include considerations related to age and income. The only notable difference lies in the valuation of the housing units, reflecting adjustments due to changes in construction material prices. “We will take into account the incomes of the subscribers,” he explained.
