The successful kidney transplant is a notable achievement under the newly established health sector agreement between the two nations. Concluded at the end of February, this agreement aims to transfer Algeria’s expertise in organ transplantation to Mauritania, enhancing the latter’s capabilities in managing kidney disease and performing transplants.

Bengrina emphasizes that this milestone reflects President Tebboune’s commitment to honoring promises made to President El Ghazouani and showcases the robust political will of both leaders to strengthen fraternal ties and deepen bilateral cooperation. He also extends special recognition to Professor Yahi Saïhi, the Minister of Health, for his swift implementation of President Tebboune’s directives and calls for other sectors to follow the Ministry of Health’s exemplary model in fostering intergovernmental collaboration.

Bengrina advocates for an accelerated and diversified strategic partnership between Algeria and Mauritania, stressing that such a partnership is vital for achieving effective integration and optimal resource utilization.
