ALGIERS, November 13, 2023 –In a significant development reported by Dzair Tube, Abdelkarim Benmbarek has been elected as the new Secretary-General of the National Liberation Front (FLN). This unanimous decision was reached during the party’s General Assembly at the Abdelatif Rahal Conference Palace in Algiers, succeeding Abou El-Fadhel Baâdji.
Expressing Gratitude and Acknowledging Responsibility
In his inaugural statement, Benmbarek extended his gratitude to the members of the Central Committee, recognizing the weight of their responsibility. He stated, “I congratulate you on the honor of being members of the Central Committee, a responsibility you carry. Addressing the selection process, he noted, “The emergence of this committee is a source of pride because it adhered to careful criteria and objective conditions focused on the integrity of the candidates.”

The newly appointed Secretary-General highlighted the significance of the 11th congress, stating, “The fruits of the 11th congress are far from any suspicion of corruption, firmly believing that FLN is their big house and the model of their national project.” He described the congress as a transparent democratic celebration, a pivotal evaluative station to build a future strategy that reinstates hope and confidence among their activists.
Renewing Political, Educational, and National Commitments
Benmbarek asserted, “Our congress was held in a distinguished context, in which Algeria achieved considerable progress in the path of reforms committed by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune before the people.” He emphasized the aim of renewing a political, educational, and national school, acting as a strict fortress against covetous threats to national unity.

Highlighting the harmony among generations, he concluded, “Congratulations to Algeria on the success of the 11th congress of the National Liberation Front,” urging the necessity to overcome conflicts and disputes within the FLN ranks, which he emphasized is more imperative than ever.
