ALGIERS, November 13, 2023 – In a development first reported by Dzair Tube, Abdelkarim Benmbarek has been entrusted with the leadership of the General Secretariat of the National Liberation Front (FLN). This decision was reached unanimously during the party’s General Assembly held at the Abdelatif Rahal Conference Palace in Algiers, succeeding Abou El-Fadhel Baâdji.
In his inaugural statement, Abdelkarim Benmbarek expressed gratitude, saying, “I congratulate you on the honor of being members of the Central Committee, a responsibility you carry. I am pleased and grateful to find myself preserved and aware of the weight of the entrusted duty, laden with current and future challenges.”
Continuing, Benmbarek remarked, “I have received your precious trust, and I am happy to see myself secured and aware of the weight of the responsibility loaded with current and future challenges.”
“The emergence of this committee is a source of pride because it adhered to careful criteria and objective conditions focused on the integrity of the candidates,” he added.
The newly appointed Secretary-General of the FLN emphasized the significance of the 11th congress, stating, “The fruits of the 11th congress are far from any suspicion of corruption, firmly believing that FLN is their big house and the model of their national project.” He described the congress as a transparent democratic celebration, a pivotal evaluative station to build a future strategy that reinstates hope and confidence among their activists.
Benmbarek asserted, “Our congress was held in a distinguished context, in which Algeria achieved considerable progress in the path of reforms committed by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune before the people.”
“Our conference aimed at renewing a political, educational, and national school, a strict fortress in the face of the covetous and the lurking threats to our national unity,” he added. He noted the harmony among generations, emphasizing the unity of purpose in a space that welcomes the sons of the nation.
He concluded, “Congratulations to Algeria on the success of the 11th congress of the National Liberation Front,” urging the necessity to overcome conflicts and disputes within the FLN ranks, which he emphasized is more imperative than ever.
