ALGIERS- The Secretary General of the National Liberation Front (FLN) party, Abou El Fadl Baadji, has made an official announcement stating that he will not be running for the position of party Secretariat.
In a press release, the FLN explained that Mr. Baadji, on Thursday, presided over a meeting with the presidents of the transitional committees of Mouhafadate. During this meeting, he provided instructions regarding the progress of the upcoming 11th Congress of the party, scheduled to take place on November 11th, 12th, and 13th at the Abdelatif-Rahal International Conference Center in Algiers.
According to the press release, Mr. Baadji took this opportunity to formally declare his decision not to seek the party secretariat. He firmly believes in the principle of alternation, recognizing the importance of a change in leadership after three and a half years at the helm of the party secretariat. Throughout his tenure, the FLN has greatly benefited from his leadership, particularly during various significant events in which he actively participated.
