ALGIERS- The first meeting of the ad hoc commission tasked with reviewing applications for the position of Algeria’s national team coach took place yesterday, Thursday, at the federation’s headquarters in Algiers, as announced by the Algerian Football Federation (FAF).
According to national media reports, the inaugural session was attended by the commission’s president, Mr. Ameur Mansoul, along with six other members appointed by the FAF. Their primary responsibility is to establish a shortlist of potential coaches. The FAF has reportedly given the commission a 10-day deadline to finalize this list.
Sources further indicate that during the meeting, four coaches’ names were prominently discussed. These include Portuguese coaches Carlos Queiroz and José Pereiro, Belgian coach Hugo Broos, and former Algerian national team coach Belgian coach Hugo Broos.
