ALGIERS- The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mohamed Abdelhafid Henni, welcomed a delegation from the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA) to the ministry’s headquarters on Monday. Led by Kamel Moula, this meeting served as a platform to discuss significant advancements in Algeria’s agricultural sector, with a focus on ensuring the supply of agricultural products while upholding the highest standards of quality and diversity.
The discussions centered around innovative strategies for the agricultural sector, particularly the comprehensive digitalization of transactions, including credit, real estate, and investments. The aim is to embrace modernization fully, adopting cutting-edge techniques and scientific research through the active involvement of sector institutions.
Furthermore, participants emphasized the importance of economic actors investing in the agricultural sector, with a particular emphasis on the southern wilayas. By promoting the convergence of visions and encouraging the active participation of CREA’s economic actors, the meeting sought to find solutions to overcome challenges and identify investment opportunities that would support farmers, producers, and breeders.
In his closing remarks, the minister underscored the significance of consultation and continued cooperation. He emphasized the need for regular meetings between the sectoral committee of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s services, ensuring a fruitful partnership.
