Today, Saturday, Ahmed Bouaraba has been elected new president of the Algerian Federation of Yuseikan Budo, for the 2021-2024 Olympic mandate.
According to a press release from the Algerian Federation, the members of the Federation’s Electoral General Assembly elected Ahmed Bouaraba as President of the Federation for the 2021-2024 Olympic mandate, to succeed Saleh Mahoub, the international expert and holder of the seventh dan, who tendered his resignation for health reasons.
The members of the General Assembly also chose, during the pre-electoral assembly held this Saturday at the headquarters of the communal library of Douaouda, in the wilaya of Tipaza, the members of the Federal Bureau who will accompany Bouaraba in the exercise of his functions.
On the occasion of his election as head of this sports body, the new president of the Algerian Federation of Yuseikan Budo thanked the members of the General Assembly, who placed their trust in him and entrusted him with this responsibility, pledging to spare no effort to develop this sport in Algeria and even at the international level.
Bouaraba stressed that developing the sport of Yuseikan Budo in schools and extending its presence at the national level, particularly in the southern wilayas, in addition to supporting young people practicing this sport and national elites, is one of his most important personal obligations and those of the Federal Office.
The new president of the federation also took this opportunity to appeal to all practitioners of this sport throughout the national territory, without any exception, to unite for the development of this Japanese martial art in Algeria.
It should be noted that Bouaraba, 36, held the position of secretary general of the Federation, and that he has been practicing this sport since 1989. During his career, he has participated in numerous competitions and tournaments under the colors of the team; from El-Biar, before the holder of the black belt and third dan joined the Hydra club in recent years.
