Aimen Cheriet, General Manager of Chery Algeria, shared crucial details during a press conference, shedding light on prices, delivery timelines, and order placement.

In a statement to Dzair Tube, Cheriet disclosed that Chery’s initial phase would encompass 32 provinces during the import phase, generating about twenty jobs in each province, totaling an impressive 1,000 job opportunities. Manufacturing endeavors are set to add 1,800 direct jobs in the first phase alone, in addition to indirect job positions. The automotive market anticipates increased dynamism, abundance, and competition, promising positive implications for both direct and indirect employment.

Chery Algeria’s official launch showcases competitive prices, positioning the brand as an attractive and affordable option in the Algerian market. Cheriet emphasized that the delivery period for Chery cars would be remarkably short, ensuring owners receive their vehicles in less than 45 days from order placement.

“The orders for Chery cars will be open in the next few days,” added Cheriet, creating anticipation among Algerian consumers eager to explore Chery’s offerings.

Auto Leader Company’s official announcement of the Chery car brand’s launch in Algeria, with the presence of the Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Ali Aoun, and the Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, signifies a groundbreaking moment. The active involvement of ministers signals the government’s endorsement of this venture and recognition of its potential impact on the local economy.

Chery’s lineup caters to the varied requirements of the Algerian market, with prices ranging from 199 million to 500 million cents and an impressive 7-year warranty. The Tiggo 8 Max 2.0 TGDI 7 DCT stands out as a flagship model, combining luxury with enhanced off-road performance.

The Tiggo 8 Max features a 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre turbo engine, an electronic gear-shifting system, and the T1X platform, ensuring optimal off-road capabilities. Safety features and modern technologies abound, including a parking sensor, a high-quality 12.3-inch display screen, a touchscreen for air conditioning, an electronic parking brake, a robust car body, tire pressure sensors, a modern driver assistance system, and airbags.
