ALGIERS- Air Algérie, Algeria’s national airline, has unveiled plans to introduce 26 additional flight routes to and from airports across the southern region of the country ahead of the summer season, according to an official statement released on Wednesday.
The latest announcement brings the total number of supplementary flights operated by the airline to 68, as detailed in Air Algérie’s press release.
“These 68 extra flights offer a combined total of 5,816 seats per week, comprising 44 flights providing 3,836 seats per week to southern destinations and 24 flights offering 1,980 seats per week to northern destinations. The expanded routes encompass 12 airports, including Hassi Messaoud, Ouargla, Timimoun, Béchar, Adrar, In Salah, Djanet, El Ménia, El Oued, Tamanrasset, Tindouf, and Touggourt,” the statement elaborated.
By enhancing its flight network, Air Algérie aims to cater to the rising demand for air travel during the summer season, particularly catering to travelers flying to and from destinations in Algeria’s southern territories.
