Algiers, Algeria | September 17th, 2024 — Air Algérie has announced the suspension of all flights between Algiers and Bamako, effective immediately, due to the closure of Mali’s airspace. The national carrier communicated this development to its passengers on Tuesday, explaining that the restriction on air travel stems from the current closure of Mali’s airspace.
In its statement, Air Algérie clarified, “The national airline Air Algérie informs its esteemed customers that, due to the closure of the Malian airspace, all flights connecting Algiers to Bamako have been suspended.” The airline has emphasized that it will continue to keep its clientele updated on any changes or developments regarding the situation.
