Algeria Affirms Strong Support for the African Court, Says Court President Imani Daud Aboud

ALGIERS- In the wake of a meeting with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Monday, the President of the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights (AfCHPR), Mrs. Imani Daud Aboud, highlighted Algeria’s prominent position among African nations in supporting the Court.
Describing her discussions with President Tebboune as “excellent,” President Imani Daud Aboud expressed her gratitude for Algeria’s continuous support for the various endeavors of the African Court.
“The President of the Republic expressed his pride in Algeria’s hosting of the AfCHPR’s proceedings and committed to continuing his support,” she declared, emphasizing that “Algeria is among the first member states of the African Union to lend its support to the African Court.”

President Tebboune “reiterated today his unwavering support for this court, and I will convey to the African Union and the court Algeria’s continuous and steadfast support,” she added.
It’s noteworthy that Algeria hosted the proceedings of the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights over the past month, underscoring the nation’s commitment to advancing human rights and legal justice on the continent.
