ALGIERS, November 13, 2023- In a significant move to foster collaboration in the agricultural sector, Algeria and China have inked a partnership agreement aimed at intensifying agricultural exchanges between businesses in both countries. The accord, focusing on the import and export of agricultural products, was formalized during the participation of the Director General of the Algerian Company for the Regulation of Agricultural Products (SARPA) in the Sino-African Cooperation Forum, as delegated by the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Abdelhafid Henni.
This strategic agreement is poised to open new avenues for economic cooperation between Algeria and China, with a particular emphasis on the agricultural domain. The signing ceremony took place as part of the forum’s proceedings, highlighting the commitment of both nations to strengthening ties in the agricultural sector.
A statement from the Algerian Ministry of Agriculture noted that the agreement sets the stage for increased collaboration and trade in agricultural products. The cooperative framework is expected to boost the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and agricultural goods, fostering mutual growth in the agricultural industries of both nations.
The Director General of SARPA, representing Algeria in these discussions, further solidified the partnership by engaging in visits to various Chinese agricultural enterprises.
