Algeria Applauds ICJ Decision on Gaza, Heralding End of Zionist Occupation’s Impunity

ALGIERS- Algeria has expressed its satisfaction with the recent decision by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in response to South Africa’s petition on the genocide perpetrated by the Zionist entity in Gaza. The Foreign Ministry praised President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s pioneering call for widespread legal action, stating that the ICJ’s ruling marks the beginning of the end of the era of Israeli occupation’s impunity.
In a statement, the ministry reiterated its strong support for South Africa’s initiative, emphasizing that the ICJ’s clear recognition validates the legitimacy of the legal proceedings. Algeria sees the ICJ’s decision as a crucial step towards ending the prolonged era of impunity that the Zionist entity has enjoyed, allowing it to oppress the Palestinian people and violate their legitimate rights.
The Foreign Ministry took note of the provisional measures ordered by the ICJ, highlighting that the Zionist entity must respond within a month. It further revealed that President Tebboune instructed Algeria’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations to request an urgent Security Council meeting to enforce the ICJ’s rulings on the necessary provisional measures against the Zionist occupation.
