Algeria: Béjaïa / CRA’s President Hamlaoui inquires about progress of solidarity operations

ALGIERS- The president of the Algerian Red Crescent (CRA), Ibtissam Hamlaoui, inquired, Wednesday in Béjaïa, about the progress of the solidarity operations organized in this sacred month and supervised by volunteers, said a press release from the institution.
Mrs. Hamlaoui went on Wednesday evening to the local committee of the Algerian Red Crescent, where she inquired about the progress of the solidarity operations organized in this holy month of Ramadan and supervised by volunteers (more than 800 members), the statement read.
These volunteer operations cover five (5) restaurants, including the “Sadwa” restaurant, where Mrs. Hamlaoui broke her fast alongside volunteers and people passing through, according to the same source, which reported on the distribution, in this wilaya, of more than 67,000 meals (meals to take away or eat in) since the beginning of the month of Ramadan.
As part of its efforts to help categories in need, the local committee has distributed more than 2,000 food parcels to needy families and is currently preparing the organization of the collective circumcision operation and the distribution of Eid clothes, the statement concluded.
