Algeria, Bulgaria pay heed to make additional efforts aimed at upgrading existing solid foundation

ALGIERS– Bulgaria’s Foreign Minister Nikolay Milkov, received, on Tuesday, at a farewell meeting the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Baya Bensmail, following the end of her mission in the country.
Minister Milkov thanked Ambassador Bensmail for her contribution in the development of relations between the two countries, which last year celebrated the 60th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations. The two sides confirmed their readiness for political dialogue at the highest levels, as well as to search for new opportunities to deepen bilateral relations, which rest on a solid historical foundation.
During the meeting, the need to make additional efforts aimed at upgrading the existing solid foundation of relations and developing to the maximum extent the currently unrealized significant potential in the field of economic cooperation was noted.
Ambassador Bensmail, on her part, expressed her gratitude to Minister Milkov and to the employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the established excellent working contacts, stating that she “will leave the country with extremely good and warm feelings towards Bulgaria and the Bulgarian people”.
